We Love You Momo/Elbow!

We seldom if ever dress the girls alike, but this was inevitable. We found Elmo shirts at Target (he is the girl's favorite) so we had to buy two. Jazzy calls him "Momo" and Aspie calls him "Elbow."

Bye Bink

Tragedy. Just tragedy. I knew it was time to wean off the bink when I put the girls in their carseats in front of the TV while I took a shower. Upon finishing I could hear Aspie yelling "Help...help me bink!" Nervous, I peeked through the door to hear her pleas to her binky which laid on the floor in front of her carseat just out of her reach. Her arms were stretched out and she was trying to free herself from her carseat. Jasmyn was looking at her like she was an alien. She was sure that "Bink" could do anything, including free her from her carseat. We decided that night to begin cutting little pieces off the tips of their binks, a ploy suggested by our Pediatrician. Daddy misunderstood and cut the entire tip off. Jasmyn's face was priceless as she struggled to make the bink stay in her mouth. Then, without missing a beat she simply turned it around and began sucking on the handle. You would have thought the world came to an end for Aspie whose all powerful bink was suddenly broken and rendered useless. She threw it across the room and went into a full tantrum. It's been a week now and Jazzy is over it. Aspyn now says in her saddest little voice possible "Bink...no, broken..." answering her own question.

Halloween 2008 -

The babies loved wearing their Halloween outfits...for about 10 minutes. They went to the Halloween party at the daycare and trick-or-treating to a few houses but then decided they were done. They were too cute!

Whoa Nellie!

What is happening here? I swear that every time I put these two to bed they grow and inch or so. They are getting bigger and smarter all the time. They can say just about anything, their favorite is "No." Jazzy's new thing is to scream "I did it!" after everything she does. Aspie picks up a phone, any phone, and says "Hi Mom!" I love them and miss them every second I am not playing with them!

Shark Bite

Check out those teeth...

Feeding "Fiffee"

The babie's favorite thing to do is feed "Fiffee," translation: Griffey. Although I'm not sure he shares their dinnertime enthusiasm, he let's them feed him from their hands and pet him.

Best Seat in the House

Both the babies love this seat...the video camera case in the corner by grandma and grandpa's rocker. It is apparently just their size. They yank each other off it when one of them figures it's their turn to sit down. This seat became so sought after that grandma and grandpa recently purchased TWO benches about the same height and put one on each side of the table. Now everyone is happy!

Face Painting

The babies attended their first "Halloween Party" at the daycare a few nights ago. They danced, played games and ate donuts. They went through a "spook alley" (which was fully lit with a spider and a few bones thrown in the corner), colored plaster bugs and had a great time.

Hitting the Bottle

We rarely see Aspie without a bottle of something in her hands. She doesn't even take the time to unscrew the cap...

Did I mention...

Did I mention they like to watch Sponge Bob?

Rare

One of the few times Jazzy has a clean nose - guess she is so proud she wants to show it off...nice Jazz...

Grandma's Castle

In her true spoiling fashion, grandma Webb bought a "castle" for her little princesses. Daddy is building it as we speak.

The Wild Ones

I Know this must be a Shock...

Wow, it's amazing how school can consume one's life and eliminate any free time for blogging. It's been a couple of months now and so much has happened. In August we took the babies to Lagoon for their daddy's work party. They were still too little to ride anything but the carousel which they LOVED! Both are running, not walking and are hard to catch. They are quite fast when they have a destination in mind. Getting them to daycare used to be so easy when I could carry them in their carseats, now the minute their little legs hit the ground they are running in opposite directions. I am frazzled by the time I get to work.

I finish school for this year next week and won't resume until January. I took a LOA to spend the holidays with my family. There is so much to look forward to with the babies.

Sponge Bob Bob???

The babies have a new favorite TV show, or at least a new favorite song. "OHHHHHHHH...who lives in a pineapple under the sea? SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS! Absorbent and yellow and porous is he...SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS!" See, they have me doing it now. Whenever the babies hear the seagulls chirp at the opening credits, the stop in their tracks and whip around, eyes glued to the TV. They start snapping their fingers (Aspie waves her hand above her head and Jazzy crosses and uncrosses her middle and index fingers). They dance and sing, although the only words we can comprehend are SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS! Aspie calls him Sponge Bob Bob and gets upset when her plushy Sponge Bob (thanks Bampa) is not in the carseat with her. Jazzy likes to "spray" Patrick's hair with "hairspray" before school. She makes the spray sound and waves the can over his hair (or at least where his hair would be if he had any). Move over Wonder Pets...there's a new Sponge in town!

Sponge Bob Bob???

The babies new favorite show, or shall we say their new favorite opening credits to a show, is SpongeBob Squarepants..."OHHHHHHHHH

Aspie Lets Go of the Furniture

Aspyn took off walking by herself on August 1. Prior to this day she has been a little nervous and was always hanging on to the furniture. While grandma and great-grandma were tending her, she just suddenly took off... knowing her she was in search of snacks. She even pushed their hands away when they tried to help her as though she were offended by the offer (after all, she'd been walking for a whole 3 minutes...that kid already has quite an attitude). She is so little and has such tiny feet that it is funny to see her teetering and zigzagging all over the room like she's been drinking juice that's sat out on the counter a little too long. She loses her balance and tries to compensate by leaning forward and "running" which usually results in her bouncing of the front of the couch and landing on her back because she is going too fast to stop herself. Good thing kids are resilient. Jazzy is not far behind her...just needs a bit more confidence boost.

Provo Police Save Jazzy From Locked Car...

Jazzy locked herself in the car at the Pediatrician's office today while I was trying to buckle her car seat. Just as I was closing the door she tossed the keys and locked herself in. It was nearly 100 degrees outside. The Provo Police were called and responded in under 2 minutes. Dr. Johnson came out to make sure they got her out without any problems. Within 10 minutes they had her out. She was sweaty and sleepy but otherwise OK. I was very nervous and Aspie was wondering what the heck was going on...
